Statement

I use drawing as a medium to construct visual narratives that unfold between memory and imagination. My practice explores the “space of memory,” with a particular focus on gaps, absences, and minute details—elements that serve as entry points for the reconstruction of memory.

In my drawing process, I replace linear narratives with fragments and blurred details, attempting to preserve the unfinished texture of memory. I depict isolated yet expansive scenes—windows, houses, the distant sea, wind turbines on the ocean. These are not representations of specific places, but condensed remnants of remembered experience. Once individual drawings are completed, I reassemble them to construct new spatial structures. This reorganization is not merely a formal collage, but a reweaving of narrative—seeking emotional and mnemonic connections between isolated images, allowing these fragments to engage in dialogue within new contexts.

These images resonate with the viewer’s own memory, evoking a perception of forgotten places, fragmented scenes, or blurred moments. At the same time, the spatiality created by the work offers a site for projection and emotional resonance, turning the act of viewing into a drifting journey through one’s inner space.
