Preface

During this period, my practice moved beyond the mere reproduction of past memories or nostalgic narratives. Unlike the emotional explorations of the inner world in the previous two units, I focused more on materials and form.

 

I began to turn my attention to reflecting on and resisting “completeness.” In a sense, this was a confrontation with myself, as I had once pursued wholeness and perfection intensely, even though I did not know what the standards of “beauty” were at the time.
